What We’re Up To

LEXI Currently….

Reading: I’m almost done with Assistant to the Villain, which is such a fun and lighthearted fantasy. I’m SO excited to chat with author Hannah Nicole Maehrer at tomorrow’s Book Club meeting!

Theorizing: My brain is still deep in the Kindred Curse Saga. The theory rabbit holes I went down about Burn of the Everflame… I just love all the Easter eggs and possibilities, so I will happily stay in this theoryland.

Drinking: It’s summer, so I’m still drinking white wine with lots of ice cubes (#cantstopwontstop)

Listening to: “Nalu” by Deep Chills and Brendan Mills. I love me some electronic sax while I work!

Watching: Alone Season 11. I will keep shouting from the rooftops that this is the best reality show out there.

Celebrating: A successful first fantasy con! LeakyCon was so much fun with all the memories and friendships we made.

Looking forward to: Dragon Gauntlet in Boyne City! My dress came in and paired with my dragon jewelry… I’m definitely going for a regal Team Black look. (Psst, want to get Nicole’s dress for $25 off? Shop Sophistiqué here!)

NICOLE Currently….

Reading: ACOSF Graphic Audio- as we get into these lore-heavy episodes of ACOWAR, I’m convinced I need to basically have these books on loop!

Theorizing: MAASVERSE! ACOWAR episode 4 got all my gears a-going! Especially around those dang Daglan…

Drinking: Coffee, Coffee, Coffee (read with a Lorelai Gilmore flare). My husband and I always make our coffee with half caf/half decaf grounds, but I think I’m making up for it with numerous cups a day.

Listening to: “Naked” by Sam Short - A BOP!!

Watching: Brett and I are BINGING “The Bear”! One of the best shows I’ve seen in a while!

Celebrating: My hubby is making big career moves right now and while a lot is unknown, we are celebrating this new exciting chapter in his working life!

Looking forward to: I’m off to Canada this weekend for a wedding! I’ve never been to Canada but I am stoked to visit and I get to meet Lauren from Book Huddle in person!
