We’re about a month into the ACOTAR deep dives – more than halfway through Book 1! How are you liking it so far?? We’ve absolutely loved your reactions and responses to these episodes as we get into the Prythian groove. It’s been so much fun rereading ACOTAR and discovering all the foreshadowing and hidden meanings. And ahhhh the best is yet to come! ACOMAF coverage is right around the corner!

But ACOTAR isn’t the only story we’re squealing about right now. We Empyrean fans are so excited about the big announcement that dropped this morning from Rebecca Yarros: Empyrean Book 3 is titled Onyx Storm and coming out on January 21, 2025. YES, we have a million thoughts about what this title means and we start sharing them in today’s special bonus episode!

You’ll also notice we added a new schedule to our monthly newsletter – Upcoming Live Events! There’s a lot happening behind the business scenes and we can’t wait to keep announcing more in the coming days and weeks.

What We’re Up To

LEXI Currently….

Reading: Still on the tandem read for Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas. For my relaxing/bedtime read, I’ve restarted Game of Thrones. Because yes, that’s one of my comfort reads haha.

Theorizing: What Empyrean’s Onyx Storm is going to mean for our story and characters!

Drinking: Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Such a good and affordable white wine!

Listening to: Mulan’s “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You” (or what my 2yo calls “Man Song!”) over and over and over… but seriously, this song is on repeat or I’m listening to one of the books I’m reading. 

Watching: Avatar the Last Airbender, the animated version after we watched the live action. It’s been a while since I saw this series and ahhh, I love it so much. 

Celebrating: My little family is moving in April! Since coming back to Colorado, we’ve been fortunate enough to stay with our parents, though we’re thrilled we are finally able to settle into our own space. It’s really emotional and I’m all in the feels about how much FFG has changed my family’s life.

Looking forward to: Having my own office. Jake and I currently share one desk space and it’s a game of moving around when the other has meetings/recordings and the other watches the kids. I can’t wait to deck my own office out in fantasy whimsical vibes and to keep my tech in one place.

NICOLE Currently….

Reading: I just started my Kingdom of Ash reread! And I’m realizing I barely remembered this book. I’m about to go on an emotional journey, ya’ll. 

Theorizing: The Rebecca Yarros Instagram Stories with Taylor Swift lyrics about her “writing vibes”! What does it mean!?

Drinking: I finally replaced the Co2 tank in my SodaStream (after an embarrassing amount of time) so I’m drinking ALLLL the fizzy water.

Listening to: The beginnings of the ACOMAF playlist - specifically the songs for meeting the Inner Circle… You’ll hear it soon! 

Watching: The start of the Formula One season and loving it even more because of the FFG Fantasy League! 

Celebrating: I received a VERY exciting potential opportunity for the latter half of this year. It's been a bucket list item for me for years and I’m still in awe that it’s even a possibility. If the stars align, I will tell you all so fast haha.

Looking forward to: All of the live events coming up! I’ve started to pick out dresses for the May Starfall Ball - Going for a Mor vibe, so all the red dress options!
